Alors inclassable Zehra ?

Europejska Wiosna: Razem dla solidarnej Europy!

23 VI Warszawa | Nove Kino Wisła

Zapraszamy na otwarte wydarzenie europejskie z udziałem m.in. Janisa Warufakisa, Agnieszki Dziemianowicz-Bąk, Tomislava Tomaševića, Isabelle Thomas, Adriana Zandberga i wielu innych gości! Sobota, 23 czerwca, godz. 12.00, warszawskie kino Wisła.

Piętnaście lat temu, w czerwcu 2003 roku Polki i Polacy powiedzieli "TAK!" w referendum o dołączeniu do Unii Europejskiej.

Partia Razem wraz z lewicowymi partiami i inicjatywami z całego kontynentu tworzy "Europejską Wiosnę" – koalicję, która w maju 2019 roku wystartuje wspólnie w wyborach do Parlamentu Europejskiego.

23 czerwca o godz. 12.00 zapraszamy do warszawskiego kina Wisła na otwarte spotkanie. Wystąpią podczas niego przedstawiciele i przedstawicielki ruchów, partii i organizacji z różnych miejsc w Europie, którzy przedstawią wspólny projekt głębokiej transformacji Unii Europejskiej.

Wśród naszych gości:

Janis Warufakis - były minister finansów Grecji, profesor ekonomii, współzałożyciel ruchu Diem25
Benoît Hamon (tbc) - lider francuskiej lewicy proeuropejskiej, założyciel ruchu Generation.s, kandydat socjalistów w ostatnich wyborach prezydenckich we Francji
Isabelle Thomas - europarlamentarzystka, członkini komisji budżetowej w Parlamencie Europejskim, działaczka francuskiego Generation.s
Rasmus Nordqvist - duński parlamentarzysta, aktywista, członek proekologicznej partii Alternativet
Tomislav Tomašević - aktywista miejski, członek chorwackiego ruchu miejskiego Zagreb je Naš
Srećko Horvat - chorwacki filozof, pisarz i aktywista, współzałożyciel ruchu Diem25

Pacchia! Soumaila Sacko

It was a nightmare - Yiannis Boutaris

The mayor of Greece's second-largest city Thessaloniki has been treated in hospital after being beaten up by about a dozen people, officials say.
Yiannis Boutaris, 75, was kicked in the head and legs and beaten with bottles by a group of nationalists angry over his appearance at a remembrance event.
The mayor, who is known for his anti-nationalist views, was attending a ceremony to mark the killing of ethnic Greeks by Turks in World War One.
Politicians have condemned the attack.
A dozen people approached Mr Boutaris demanding he leave a flag-lowering ceremony in Thessaloniki on Saturday to mark what is known in Greece as the "Pontic Genocide", Thessaloniki city council president Calypso Goula said.
Ms Goula, who was also attending the event, described seeing several men throw bottles at Mr Boutaris and kicking the mayor in the head and legs after he had fallen down. Continue in BBC

Risalii dall’acqua e mi stesi a meditare. E dunque c’ero arrivato, dovevo proprio morire.

Gianluca Costantini draws for HRW Film Festival in London

View our programme and trailer in the Press Room!

Human Rights Watch is one of the world’s leading independent organizations dedicated to defending and protecting human rights. We work tenaciously to lay the legal and moral groundwork for deep rooted change and fight to bring greater justice and security to people around the world. Through our Human Rights Watch Film Festival we bear witness to human rights violations and create a forum for courageous individuals on both sides of the lens to empower audiences with the knowledge that personal commitment can make a difference. The film festival brings to life human rights abuses through storytelling in a way that challenges each individual to empathize and demand justice for all people.

The HRW Film Festival currently screens in over 20 cities around the world throughout the year. The festival's programming committee operates out of the New York office to screen more than 500 films each year. Through a rigorous vetting process, that includes review by Human Rights Watch’s programmatic staff, the festival chooses approximately 40 films each year to participate in our various festivals. It is then up to the particular city and its programming committee to choose films from this final selection for their specific festival.

In selecting films for the festival, Human Rights Watch concentrates equally on artistic merit and human rights content. The festival encourages filmmakers around the world to address human rights subject matter in their work and presents films from both new and established international filmmakers. Though the festival rules out films that contain unacceptable inaccuracies of fact, we do not bar any films on the basis of a particular point of view. Please note that we do not accept films via open submissions. If you have any questions, please email festivalinfo@hrw.org

Women of the Venezuelan Chaos - Margarita Cadenas #HRWFF London

Embodying strength and stoicism, five Venezuelan women from diverse backgrounds each draw a portrait of their country as it suffers under the worst crisis in its history amid extreme food and medicine shortages, a broken justice system, and widespread fear. The women share what life is really like for them and their families as the truth of the country’s difficulties are repeatedly denied by the government. Featuring stunning visuals and creative soundscapes, Women of the Venezuelan Chaos presentsa uniquely beautiful country and people, who remain resilient and resourceful despite the immense challenges they face. https://ff.hrw.org/london

The Workers Cup - Adam Sobel #HRWFF London

With unprecedented access to FIFA’s 2022 World Cup stadium construction sites and labour camps in Qatar, The Workers Cup follows one group of men from among the 1.6 million migrant workers preparing for the world’s largest sporting event. In the shadows of the controversial building sites, the men enthusiastically train to compete in a football tournament of their own: The Workers Cup. Exposing long work hours for scant salaries, limited freedom of movement, and harsh living conditions in isolated labour camps, this documentary explores universal themes of ambition, aspiration, sport, and masculinity, as the protagonists wrangle hope, meaning, and opportunity out of their extremely precarious circumstances. Official Selection, Sundance Film Festival 2017 http://www.theworkerscupfilm.comhttps://ff.hrw.org/london

Whose Streets? - Sabaah Folayan and Damon Davis Wolff #HRWFF London

"When all of this is gone, when the lights, the cameras, all of that, is gone, I have to live here… The history that I have between these people and myself will not be eradicated." - Tef Poe, film subject, Whose Streets?
"We are raising activists, we have to create a generation of activists if there's gonna be any change." – Aurellia Davis-Whitt, film subject, Whose Streets?
Told by the activists and leaders who live and breathe this movement for justice, Whose Streets? is an unflinching look at the Ferguson uprising in the US. When unarmed teenager Michael Brown is killed by police on 9th August, 2014 and left lying in the street for hours, it marks a breaking point for the residents of St. Louis, Missouri. Grief, long-standing racial tensions, and renewed anger bring residents together, and as the national guard descends on Ferguson with military grade weaponry, young community members become the torchbearers of a new resistance. Whose Streets? is a powerful battle cry from a generation fighting, not for their civil rights, but for the right to live. Grand Jury Prize Nominee, Sundance Film Festival, 2017 http://www.whosestreets.comhttps://ff.hrw.org/london

The poetess - Stefanie Brockhaus and Andreas Wolff #HRWFF London

"When you isolate women, you isolate the soul of the whole society." – Hissa Hilal, film subject, The Poetess

Saudi poetess Hissa Hilal made headlines around the world as the first woman to reach the finals of the Arab world’s biggest televised poetry competition, “Million’s Poet.” The Poetess is the inspiring story of a woman risking her personal safety and seizing an opportunity, live on TV in front of 75 million viewers, to use her wit and lyricism to critique patriarchal society and religious extremism, and to urge for a more peaceful Islam.

'How did this happen?'

CNN's Sherisse Pham bumped into Sarah Shuster, husband of US curler John Shuster , just minutes after Team USA claimed gold.

"I thought: 'How did this happen,'" she said, before revealing that her husband had been crying during the round robin after two poor performances.

Such was his disappointment, he wanted another curler to throw the last rocks in the final game.

"And to go from that to this," Sarah said, smiling the biggest smile.
